Not impressed... Bogut launched a verbal spray at fake bidders.

Just when one thought amazing monetary money donations had been raised for the Queensland floods through such schemes, international online auction organization, ebay, has had to scale down the dizzying heights of Tim Cahill and Andrew Bogut’s auctioned adventures due to fake bids.

It has been revealed that an abundance of bids from potential buyers were deemed as ‘non-genuine’.

‘The Tim Cahill Experience’, which initially prompted Bogut’s own trip, amazingly reached $999,999 Australian dollars. However, after ebay removed all false bids, the figure amazingly dropped by over $900,000 to just over $60,000.

Meanwhile, Bogut’s package which reached a highest bid of over $60,000 Australian dollars fell by over fifty percent, currently standing at $25,100.

The scam bids prompted a Twitter response from the Milwaukee Bucks man, labelling such the false-bidders “arseholes”.

“Why mess around with charity auctions. Karma will get you” he said in a furious post.

Cahill is yet to comment on the situation as fears of even more scam bids before the respective offers end.

However, Bogut leant his support to his countryman.

“Can’t Believe people were fake bidding Tim Cahill’s Auction for Flood Appeal.”

With just over 24 hours of bidding time left on each bid, ebay are still closely monitoring bids in what could be a damaging result to such incredible donations from the athletes.

Cahill is currently in Australia with his Everton teammates.

Spearing a little of his time at a signing session for Optus, Cahill took a minute to talk to us.

We asked him about his thoughts on the A-League to start with.

“Yeah look, I support all the teams in the A-League and hope they do well,”

“Football in Australia is growing, as you can see,”

Speculation had of course been rife now for a few years about Cahill launching an A-League side in Sydney around Wollongong. But Cahill quashed those rumours, for now at least.

“Not too sure mate, but we’ll see what happens in the future, though,”

“Like I said, I just hope the teams do well,”

We couldn’t let him escape without one question about the World Cup though, and what better than his thoughts about all the Jabulani controversy.

“It’s different!” he said with a smile as he signed a Socceroos scarf for us.

TIM CAHILL and his Premier League side Everton are currently in Australia for three pre-season matches. They face Sydney FC (July 10), Melbourne Heart (July 14) and finish with a clash against Brisbane Roar (July 17).
